Our Mission: Act & Serve in God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ascension Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and has been active in the Kentwood and Grand Rapids community since the early 1960’s.<\/em>\u00a0 We are a community of all ages who understand Jesus as God’s Son and our Savior. The focus of our faith is that our salvation is a gift of God’s grace and love in Christ.<\/p>\n

As part of the ELCA, we understand that to be Lutheran is to be ecumenical \u2013 committed to the oneness to which God calls the world in the saving gift of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 To this end, and to better serve our community here in Kentwood, Ascension Lutheran Church and The Church of the Holy Cross (Episcopal) now share a building, share worship, and share ministries.\u00a0 Together we are known as Two Churches.<\/p>\nFind out more about Two Churches<\/a>\n<\/div>
